26 Oct '08 - 262 W - + 14 - 18 I'm pretty sure I'm not on the terrorist watchlist

We went to one of the pottery painting places today and made some things. We had some fun, but ran out of Jack-patience pretty early on. So, I left Kari and Alex to do their thing, and Jack and I went for a ride. I found the parking lot of the nearby Stuyvesant Tower. click here to see what it looks like. (I love Google street view.) Since it was Sunday, the parking lot was empty, and since it was near Jack's nap time, I figured I'd just drive around for a while, and see if I could get Jack to fall asleep. So, I made many circles around the parking lot. After a while, I noticed that the security guard was driving up in his SUV. I figured I'd go explain myself to him, so I drove up to meet him. We rolled down our windows, and I told him "I'm trying to get my son to fall asleep, so I've been driving in circles." He told me that the State Troopers had just called him, telling him that some Jeep was driving in circles in the parking lot. I volunteered to leave, and he told me to have a nice day. I decided to leave anyway, so as to not make his life any more difficult. Jack wasn't falling asleep anyway, so we ended up going to a local church where they were having a pumpkin sale, so he got to climb around some pumpkins for a while, which he loved.
