Kari, Alex and I went to the Albany Pine Bush Preserve do some volunteer work this morning. Apparently, aspen trees tend to take over the pine bush, and they need help girdling aspens. Girdling is when you cut a ring of their bark off around the bottom of the tree to kill it. So, Kari and I took turns watching Alex, while the other went around merrily girdling aspens. All in the name of protecting the preserve. It did seem though that nature was fighting back a bit. One of the ladies had a branch fall out of a tree onto her. It didn't hurt her, but it did scare her a bit. The big thing though was ticks! Alex and Kari got off without any, but I on the other hand, had so many that I lost count. I managed to brush most of them off my clothes before we left, but when I got home, I found 5 of them had crawlen up my leg! Ewwww!

I think they would have been carting me off to the loony-bin had I found 5 ticks on me. It makes my skin crawl just thinking about it

I agree with you! I’ve been completely paranoid about the ticks all day!
