We had a couple of scares yesterday. Alex managed to get his hand on a piece of chicken from his chicken noodle soup, and got it stuch in his esophagus. As a result, no additional food could get down, and he immediately threw up any food that we gave him, for the next 6 hours. He couldn't take fluids, or solids. Luckily, in the evening, he managed to free it on his own, just before Kari and I were about to call the doctor.
To make matters worse, the carbon monoxide detector went off yesterday afternoon. Kari took off to a neighbor's house, called the fire company, and they showed up with their carbon monoxide detectors, and couldn't find anything. That wasn't too terribly heartening, so we went and got a couple new carbon monoxide detectors to add to the house, and they haven't alarmed since.
On a positive side, we had a very nice weekend. We went to the Tulip festival in Albany on Saturday. We saw They Might Be Giants and ate alot of deep fried food. Finding parking was tough, but it was a good day nonetheless, especially since the weather held out long enough for us to enjoy it. On Sunday, we had a good Mother's Day. Kari got a chance to read the newspaper more or less uniterrupted, and got her dose of Japanese food.
