It was the best Christmas ever!

We made the trip down to River Edge on Thursday night through Saturday morning, and Alex got to see Grandma and Grandpa Norton and Aunt Abby. Alex was very well behaved and happy most of the time. We spread out opening up presents over the course of the day, which suited Alex very well. Alex ate some pancakes and eggs. He'd play with a toy for a while, and when that got old, he'd get a whole new toy to open up!

On Sunday, Grandma and Grandpa Coy, Auntie Tash and Uncle Don came up to visit. Alex got a whole mess more presents, as well as a whole lot more attention. We found out that ham isn't one of Alex's favorite foods, and mashed potatoes have dropped down in the ranking of foods, but nonetheless, we were able to keep him well fed during the holiday.

One of Alex's presents from Mommy and Daddy is a set of tents connected by a tube. One of the tents has a "ball pit" in it, which turned out to be one of Alex's favorite things. He'll spend tons of time in there kicking the balls around, throwing them out of the tent, onto the floor, or his newest favorite thing to do, tipping the tent over, while he's inside. This apparently is terribly funny, and it's even more funny when Daddy does it to him while he's inside. What's also great is if Kujo gets in there with him, as you might imagine.

Um…is that tent thing big enough for grownups, who are, say, as big as Alex’s Aunt Abby?

Of course it is! Don’t you think that Dan and I have each been in there? In fact, it’s good for cats too!
