09 Jul '05 - 191 W - + 21 - 11 An accident

Today, as I was lifting Alex out of the excersaucer, his G-tube got caught up, and got pulled out, along with the mic-key button. The little balloon that was keeping it in popped, and it slipped out of him. Luckily, it didn't do any damage to his skin, and we were able to replace it with a spare that we have, but it did look like it hurt him pretty good.  It tears my heart out to think that I was the cause of this.  We were able to calm him down after a few minutes, and he's been pretty happy since then, so I'm hoping that the pain was just temporary. He's actually had the same button in there for about 9 months now, which is really quite long to keep one in, and looking at the one that came out, it looked like it was in pretty bad condition, and was due for replacement, but this was not the way to go about doing it.  It looks like I'm going to have to find a way to spoil him tomorrow to make up for this.

Give him some serious ducky time!

Don’t be too hard on yourself- accidents happen and thankfully our kids don’t hold it against us. Will we be seeing you guys at the Coy’s on July 30th?
