08 Jul '05 - 181 W - + 28 - 6 It's a whopper!

Alex's dilation today went well.  They are tentatively scheduling him for his next one in five weeks, though the doc thinks that we may not need it.  He also increased the doses on Alex's reflux meds, so hopefully that will help the issues we've been having with feeding lately.

Oh, and Alex had a BIG weighing today...he was doing a lot of wiggling, but it looks like he weighs around (or just over) 17 lbs!!

Aso, Dan and I have both heard him say what we are pretty sure are his first words.  On July 4th, Dan was mowing the lawn, and I was sitting out on our back prch with Alex watching Daddy mow.  We got bored, so we turned around to look at Butter in the window, and even though the mower was behind me, I could have sworn he said "Cat!"  A couple days later, Dan said that Alex looked at Kujo and said "key caaa," which to any hopeful parent sounds like "kitty cat."  Yeah Alex!!

Qualifies to me! That would figure…you guys go through all you did for Alex and what does he say first? Dada? No… Mama? No…Kitty cat! Shows you where you are on the totem pole, no?

That sounds wonderful…I bet that was music to your ears!

I thought his first word was supposed to be DA…Sounds close enough to CA. Tell Dan to wear his fur costume, but dont scare the grandson too much and really confuse Alex.

Did you say 17 pounds??? That is incredible! Sounds like “mama” and “dada” are right around the corner…
