So, we spent about 36 hours or so without a toilet in the house, so the fact that we now have one is really helping my mood. Jack was pretty fussy today, and we found out why about halfway through the day. He was covered in a rash, which means that he is allergic to the amoxicillin that they prescribed for his ear infection. So, back to the doctor we went. He's now conked out on Benadryl, and on Zithromax. The good news, though, is that the tile is now installed in our bathroom and it looks fabulous. The day was long, but not all bad I guess!
Oh, and congratulations to Tash and Don! Nathan Coy Havard was born today, and is so far doing very well. He was a little early, but Tash did an amazing job of doing nothing over the past 8 weeks, and kept him in there as long as she could. He was almost 6 lbs. (5 lbs, 15 oz I think - sorry if I got it wrong, Tash)!!
+ 0 - 0 | § ¶Jack's 9 month physical
Jack had his 9 month physical on Monday. He's still a big boy as we expected. He's in the 90th percentile for length. When they weighed him, we think that they made a mistake, and placed him only in the 50th percentile. Kari weighed him just before that, and measured him to be ~1-1/2 pounds heavier. Any way you look at it, he's a nice healthy boy. Well, actually not exactly healthy. As luck would have it, he has an ear infection that just showed up on the visit to the doc. So, he's taking his amoxycillin, and feeling a bit better today.
On Saturday night, Jack decided to sleep through the night, and Alex let us sleep in until after 8. That was really nice. I'm sure that that was an isolated incident, but we were sure to appreciate it when we got it.
They're making progress on our bathroom. They have put up the greenboard, put in the tub, and put in the tile floor. Tomorrow they'll do the tile on the walls, and are scheduled to finish up the rest by Friday. Everything is starting to look nice. It's hard to really gauge how things are going to look until they start putting in things that are going to be permenantly visible, like the tub and the floors.
