We made the Christmas triangle this year again. We went down to Pennsylvania to see the Kari's family. We got to see everyone there, and had the first two Christmases, at Natasha and Don's house, and at Jack and Deb's house. The boys had fun there. Alex fell out of his bed the first night, two times. That was rather traumatic, but after that we made sure to install the bedrails that I told Kari that we didn't need to bring. Luckily for us, Kari won that argument.
We then went to New Jersey to visit my parents and the Wileys. When we visited the Wileys, Alex insisted that Kathy take him to the bathroom, instead of me. She obliged, and when he had to go again, he insisted on going with her again. They were in there for a while, and when Kari went to check on them, Kari noticed his underwear laying on the ground outside of the bathroom. Wondering what trouble Alex was getting into, she stuck her head in the door, and saw Alex, naked from the waist down, playing with his toys on the bathroom floor, while Kathy waited patiently. Kari told him that he should at least put on his underwear. Alex promptly threw the underwear out of the bathroom and slammed the door in Kari's face. Silly boy.
We got together with Abby and Bill and my parents on Christmas night to have our last Chrstmas of the season. Everyone had a great time, and both of the boys slept very well, until 5:30, 7:10, and 7:30 on the three days! Kari and I reveled in our blocks of uninterupted sleep.
Alex started to get a bit of a cold yesterday, and it blossomed into something worse today. He started out with a 102.1 º fever this afternoon, which rose to 103.6 º in the evening. So, we made a trip to the doctor, who told us that it is probably something viral (i.e. not strep throat), and that we would be in for this for the next few days. Lots of children's tylenol is to be had. Hopefully, we can keep the rest of us from catching this thing.
