+ 0 - 0 | § Norton Fighter!

Symantec, manufacturers of Norton Antivirus, Norton Utilities, and other Norton software, have come up with a new mascot, Norton Fighter with a theme of old bad Japanese action flicks, like Mighty Morphing Power Rangers. They even came up with an advertising campaign with a substancial set of movies. Here, have a look.

+ 0 - 0 | § snow

I got a christmas present early this year, a snowblower.  It was just in time too.  We got ~6-8 inches of snow today, and it looks like we're going to get a bunch more over the next few days.  I got to try it out, and for the first time ever, taking care of the snow was kinda fun.  I'm sure that that will wear off after a bit, but it will still be much better than shoveling.  I'm pretty sure that I'm ruined for shoveling snow from now on.  I guess this falls into the category of microwaves and toaster ovens.  You don't know what you're missing until you try it out, and then you can't go back.  I just need to make sure I stay clear of HDTVs now.  I don't want to be stuck with them for a bit longer.  It's bad enough that I can't watch TV now without a Tivo.

Alex and I got to go outside and play in the snow some this evening.  It was a bit much for him to walk in, but he was a trooper.  He was focused on pushing around his dump truck, even though the thing was only as high as the snow was, which made pushing it nearly impossible for him.  So, I walked in front of him, and kicked away the snow, making a path for him to follow.  Then he got bored with that, and we buried him in the snow, over and over again.  He'd sit down, and I'd pile snow all around his mid-section.  He'd get up, walk a few steps, then sit back down in the snow and ask me to bury him again.  Silly boy.

+ 0 - 0 | § I don't want to be hasty

I don't want to land a jet on a carrier with a big ol' sign that says "Mission Accomplished", but it looks like we're getting closer to having Alex potty trained.  He's been doing a very good job with few accidents.  We have found that if we get him up in the night once or twice to go pee, we can avoid bedtime accidents.  We also have to be vigilent about making him go every once in a while during the day.  This sounds like he's got us potty trained, but we're working our way toward the other way around.

I had the pleasure of watching the boys by myself for extended lengths of time a few times this weekend.  This should be no big deal for a dad, but I've had a hard time with Jack so far because he has set a hard rule against bottles, and I'm not biologically equipped to handle him other ways.  But, since he's been taking more solid foods, I've been able to feed him enough to keep him happy enough to give Kari a few hours of time outside of the house without the kids.

Kari got to play in her bell choir a couple of times this weekend.  I know that she enjoys it, and I hear that they are rather good, I should say that I hear that other people hear that they are rather good.
