+ 0 - 0 | § A real date

It was Kari and my sixth anniversary yesterday.  Alex went with Abby to my parents' house to celebrate my mother's birthday for the day.  He apparently had a good time, going swimming and playing in the sandbox, both naked.  His being away, left Kari and I almost alone for the day.  We had Pam, a neighbor come over and watch Jack for a little while, and Kari and I actually got to go out on a date alone!  We went to Mr. Wasabi, a new Japanese restaurant in the area.  From the name alone, I didn't expect much from the restaurant, but I was pleasantly suprised.  We had a series of food that we shared in true lovebird style, and everything was good.  They even had some sushi rolls that were made with soy paper, instead of nori, so I liked that even better.  (I'm not a fan of the seaweed taste.)  Jack slept through our entire date, so the babysitting went well.  We managed to go out shopping for some of the remodeling of our bedroom, and went out for dinner, and Jack managed to stay asleep for the entire meal, which was also good.   All in all, the day went well, and was very relaxing.

+ 0 - 0 | § Some pictures, a new truck, and some more sickness

I've put up some more pictures from September.  This includes a trip to New Jersey to see my parents and a trip to Pennsylvania for Kari's Grandmother's funeral, as well as apple picking.  Also, for you animal lovers, I have also included some pictures of some bumble bees ... well ... doing some animal loving of their own.

We went to a craft fair (read: junk sale) at the church on Saturday.  Walking through big crowds, Alex saw a large tractor trailer that he just had to have from about 30 yards away and took off after it.  Needless to say, we were powerless to his guiles, and he's its new owner.

Alex woke up from his nap this afternoon with a fever of 101.  Kari gave him some Tylenol, and it seemed to take the fever away.  I'm guessing that this is something different than Kari and I had, because it doesn't involve a head cold.  I hope that he feels better tomorrow.
