+ 0 - 0 | § Mmmm.... toasty

Kari, Alex, and I just went over to visit Tash, Don, and Grandma.  Alex was playing with a couple of their phones, as is M.O..  He then decided to play with a breadmaker, pressing the buttons, opening the door and closing it, etc.  A little while later, a couple people noticed something strange.  The phones were in the breadmaker, and the oven was on!  Luckily, Grandma was able to save the phones before they got too hot!

+ 0 - 0 | § The best ER trip ever! (only a little sarcastic)

On Friday night, Alex got a piece of some food stuck in his esophagus, and by Saturday afternoon, it hadn't cleared, so we made a trip to the ER.  When we got to the ER, there was *gasp* no line to get into a room, so we went straight from the triage nurse into a room.  The resident saw us pretty quickly, and then we waited for a bit.  We watched some videos on the VCR that they had in the room.  Alex had a bit of a coughing fit, and ... he cleared up what was stuck.  We never did figure out what was stuck, because it got cleared down, instead of up.  We made sure that Alex could drink, and then he ate about two cups of cereal, (he was really hungry after not being able to get any food down in about 20 hours).  At this point, the doc said we could go, so we left.  All in all, assuming that we were already going to the ER, that was about the best possible ending that we could hope for.  No real fuss, no surgery, and out in about 3-1/2 hours.

We can tell that Alex is really looking forward to Christmas.   Try as we might to hide it, he is pretty sure that he's getting a choo-choo.  It's choo-choo this, and choo-choo that.
