So, I decided that since we've been so delinquent with the party pics, I would stay up past my bedtime and post them. Check the munchkin out at:

The party pics are somewhat few, mainly because I can't in good conscience post pictures of other people's children publicly. Since our password protection didn't work so well last time, if anyone has another suggestion, I'd love to hear it. There are some pretty good pics of Alex with his two little friends. I could post them on a web picture service like Snapfish or Shutterfly...would anyone have issues with that? You'd have to sign into your own account, but you'd be sent a link to ours.

To answer both questions just posed by Chrissy, we've been very lazy with posting lately, and we apologize. The birthday pictures STILL haven't been posted, so no, you didn't miss them. I will make an effort to get to them early next week. (We are going to Pappy and Mammy's house this weekend, so we will not be able to do it then.) As for Alex's belly wound, I've been trying to ignore it and hope it goes away. That sounds horrible, but it's really not. The wound is much, much smaller now, about 1/3 inch across and maybe 1/8 inch high (as opposed to about the size of a flattened nickel), and is scabbed over, so it appears as if things are going better. Then again, I've been fooled before, and I'm trying to reserve judgement until it heals completely (or doesn't).
Everything else is going swimmingly. Alex's playset is completely put together now...we received the new slide and bolts last week and finished everything last weekend. He loves the swings, and has just figured out that the steering wheel is on the platform, so he likes that now too. Alex got to see a fire truck today, and sit in it for a good long time. He kept going back to the fireman to be picked up and put back into the truck. Most of the other kids were scared, so it was pretty funny to see little Alex walking right up to the guy and saying "Up!!" Our boy is not shy.
