So Alex had some dirty pants yesterday. This wouldn't be such a big issue, but as it turns out, they were actually dirty with dirt! This was the first time that he has played outside and actually gotten himself dirty. Sure, we've had to deal with leaky diapers, or food mess, but it's a first for actual dirt! I'm sure that someday soon, we'll look back and wish he didn't get his clothes so dirty, but right now, Kari and I are really excited!

Kari's sick right now, (boy, I guess what they say about kids getting you sick is true) so I got to work from home a bit today, which also meant that I got to spend some time today during the day with Alex. A treat, especially since he's been feeling better lately. We got to spend a bunch of time outdoors today in the beautiful weather. Alex got to take a bunch of wagon rides, and went exploring, trying to go to the neighbor's house. We had fun taunting Kujo that we were outside and that he was stuck inside. Kari, on the other hand, wasn't having such a great time today, but at least she got some time to rest to get better. Here's hoping that she's feeling better tomorrow morning.+ 0 - 0 | § ¶A Good Weekend
My parents came up for Friday to Saturday this last weekend. On Saturday, we all went to Saratoga Springs to go to a children's museum. It's a converted house that has a bunch of different theme rooms that are targeted towards toddlers and little tykes. Alex particularly liked the fire engine turning the wheel and climbing on the seat, and probably would have stayed there the entire morning, but we picked him up and brought him to the post office room, where he had fun stuffing mail into post office boxes. From there, Alex found his favorite part, an old mechanical cash register with tons of buttons for him to press. Again, he probably would have stayed there all morning, but we brought him along to some other rooms, like the train station, a place where they made bubbles with a hula hoop, and more.
We stopped at a Circus themed cafe, appropriately named the Circus Cafe, and had lunch before heading home. Alex was so pooped from the museum that he fell asleep within a couple minutes of the journey home. We all had fun. It was a good weekend.
