Our little man has been doing very well recently. He mostly sleeps through the night, and a good portion of the day, waking up every now and then to say hi. Dan and I are doing well, too, though I think that we're both pretty tired now. Dan has been working off-shift to allow one of us to stay home with Alex, and I've gone back to work full-time. It's strange, but I think that we're in a normal new-parents' mode now. We still have a lot of doctor's appointments (three in the next week for Alex and two for me), but most of them are for checkups, with the occasional dilation thrown in. Things are good, though.
Alex is learning new things all the time...Dan has been trying to teach him how to use his hands with the endgame of getting him to get his own binky back when he spits it out. This is a continuous source of strife in our household. Alex is constantly wondering who keeps knocking his binky away from him (he should have a talk with his left hand), and boy is he a little drama king when he wants it back! We'd probably get an extra hour of sleep each morning if he could get it himself. He is more upset then than when his diaper is dirty...go figure!
